A plant-based sunscreen and alternative to mineral sunscreens. All plant oils contain inherent UVA & UVB protective properties. Use before or after sun exposure. Poplar or Cottonwood Bud oil, also known as Balm of Gilead, is made from harvesting the immature tips of the cottonwood branches that blow down in the late winter/early spring. The amber colored resin has an incredibly appealing fragrance that people respond to with great nostalgia. It is an analgesic, is anti-inflammatory, and offers sun protection as well as after-sun healing properties. St. John's Wort Oil is high in tannins and offers both it's protection and healing properties from the golden orb in the sky.
